My name is Karla Telega. I am a 50-something humor writer, whose latest (only) book pokes fun at the indignities of aging and the (often) poor life decisions that have brought us to this point. I have recently stretched my questionable computer skills to the limit in order to create a website, where I'm posting a humor column each Sunday called, "On the Light Side of Old". I think it qualifies as a "blog", but "column" sounds more writery.

I'm new to writing so even the rejection notices are a novelty. I check my email and rush out to the mailbox every day to see if I got another one! I'm starting a new humorous mystery book, but I can't figure out how to include an eight foot lizard man in the story. It's just a matter of time. I also haven't had my book published yet. It's just a matter of time. I need to lose 10 pounds. It's just ... you know the drill.

I love writing, and hope to be able to continue until, on bad days I'll have my name pinned to my shirt.
