Helping in Haiti
Like a lot of people, I've been watching the footage coming out of Haiti with a mixture of horror and sadness. So far, over three million people have been affected, and an estimated 50,000 are dead in the worst natural disaster to hit the country in two centuries.
Those who survived the earthquake are in desperate need of essentials such as water, medicine, food and shelter. This first week is a critical time, when lives can still be saved, and donations to those who are helping in Haiti can make the most difference.
Here are a few links to places where you can help:
Doctors Without Borders
Oxfam
American Red Cross
Global Giving
If every AuthorAdvance user were to donate as little as $10, we could, collectively, raise hundreds of thousands to help with the relief efforts. Please consider making a donation, no matter how small, now, when it can make the most impact to the thousands who are in need.
Thanks,
Chris Hawkins
